Blog Challenge #1

Hey kids!  This is your first Blog Challenge.  If at least 12 different students reply to this post, I'll give you the next letter in SPORTS DAY!

We've been reading and talking about memories.  Today you shared some great family memories on your Story Quilts.  When you go home, talk with your families about the stories you remember.  Share another family story that wasn't on your quilt.  How does this story make you feel?

  1. Last summer I went to Disney with my mom, dad, sister, aunt, uncle amd cousin. I liked the plane ride because there was a TV in the seat in front of me. My favorite part of the trip was going on the rides. It was really hot in Florida so we went to the pool a lot too! The trip made me feel happy because I was in Disney World!

  2. I just moved in to my house and I was jumping on my bed with my cousin and fell off and cut my head open. My mom and dad took me to the hospital and I had to get staples put in my head. My mom said I didn’t cry but she did and they asked her to leave the room.

  3. I forgot to say, that at first I was scared going to the hospital, then I felt good because I was brave.

  4. A few days ago I went to my friends birthday party. There was a trampoline in the backyard. We played pin the tale on the tale on the donkey and lots of other games .I love birthdays. Do you? Being at my friends house made me feel happy because I love visiting my friends especially on their birthdays.

  6. Last weekend I went camping with my Mom ,my Uncle Lawrence, my Brother Billy, my two Cousins Nick and Matt, my Aunt Roseanne, Uncle Ed, Aunt Michelle, Uncle George and my Grandpa and Oma. My Grandpa and Oma came all the way from Florida for this trip. My Dad could not come cause he was working. Boo Hoo. We had so much fun. It was in Copake, New York. There was really big Hot Air Balloon Festival on the campground. It was so super fun! I slept in our tent on a cot. It was very cozy and comfortable. We all went apple picking before we came home. It was a great vacation!

  7. One summer my family went to Colombia. When we got to the house that we were staying in, our family was there to greet us outside. All of my second counsins and aunts and uncles were there. It was really cool because I felt like a movie star. It made me feel excited and happy. 🙂

  8. This is a story about my Uncle Dan and Aunt Sarah. One day my Uncle and Aunt went under the table with some scissors and Dan shaved my Aunt’s HAIR OFF!

  9. Recently I went to my Uncle Bob’s 50th birthday. I was told it was going to be at Citifield and the Mets were playing the Philadelphia Phillies. My mom told me that we were not going to sit in a regular seat, that we were going to sit in a suite. I wasn’t really sure what that meant but I was just happy to be going. After walking all around the stadium, we finally got to the seats. It was so cool. We could eat all the burgers and hotdogs and chips and soda that we wanted. We didn’t even have to leave the room to get it. The suite was sweet!

  10. My family told me that before I was born, my family lived in New York City.My big brother Mathew had a dog named Kovu who barked a lot. My mom worked as a teacher and my dad owned a real estate business. Even though he had a dog, my big brother was still a little lonely and he wanted to have a little brother. When he was 4, my family moved to Warwick, NY ( the country). Soon then I was born. I never lived in the city.

  11. This summer I went to sleep away camp at first I was so scared but when camp was over I was crying joy!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

  12. My Mom always tells me about the Boston Celtics basketball team. She always tells me about when I was a baby there was this really good basketball player named Larry Bird. His number was 33. My Mom says that is how 33 became her favorite number. I became a Celtics fan because my Mom always watched the Celtics when I was little. My Mom told me that the Celtics won the most championships in the history of the NBA. THAT ROCKS!
