Yesterday, Tappan Zee High School Principal Rudy Arietta led a Zoom meeting with Class of 2020 student leaders, Student Organization Advisor Bill Hughes, Class Advisors Amy Rosenthal, Tracy Ryan and Jamie Celona and several administrators to brainstorm ideas for key senior events, should the current Covid-19 school closure be extended beyond May 15.
Arietta emphasized that the meeting was the start of an ongoing discussion which will continue over the weeks ahead. In the interim, he announced the launch of a #TZDecisionDay2020 campaign on the school’s Instagram account (@Tappan_Zee_HS) starting May 1. Details were emailed to seniors today.
Administrators and students plan to research options discussed and reconvene within the next two weeks.
