Tappan Zee High School

It’s National Letter of Intent Day and four Tappan Zee High School senior athletes have committed to play sports at the collegiate level at a signing ceremony this morning.

Congratulations to:

  • Sean Foody, who intends to play baseball and major in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University (Division II)
  • Kelly Harris, who intends to play soccer and major in Radiology at Manhattan College (Division I)
  • Allison Maloney, who intends to play lacrosse and major in Elementary Education at SUNY Albany (Division I)
  • Achilles Mouzakis, who plans to throw for the track & field team and major in Civil Engineering at Lehigh University (Division I)

“The accomplishments of these student athletes to earn athletic scholarships is a tribute to their hard work and dedication in the classroom and on the field,” notes Director of Physical Education, Health & Athletics Bill Pilla. “It is so satisfying to see the development of student athletes from their beginning to the end of their journey here at TZ–and to watch them continue at the collegiate level. It is a proud moment for our coaches and staff and a direct reflection of the competitive sports programs in our school district.”
