Eight Tappan Zee High School seniors earned 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program Letters of Commendation for scoring in the top three percent of the 1.6 million students nationwide who took the October 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Congratulations to Lucy Barsanti, Caitlin Donohue, Jacob Greenberg, Jessica Johnson, Ethan Leigh, Kevin Liang, Katherine Lussen and Jason Olszewski!
“Scoring in the top three percent of all students across the U.S. is one more achievement in our commended students’ already impressive list of accomplishments, according to their school counselors,” remarked Principal Rudy Arietta. “We are very proud of the recognition they have earned.”
Senior Hannah Ahn was named as a 2020 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist last week for placing among the highest scorers in New York State and will advance for Finalist consideration.
