Tappan Zee High School

Eight Tappan Zee High School students and computer science teacher Karen Connell took part in the New York University Women in Computing (WinC) & Princeton University GWISE New York City Girls Computer Science and Engineering Conference at NYU on November 28. Participants were challenged to use their problem-solving skills to tackle programming and hands-on engineering activities. “It was about building confidence through collaboration,” says Mrs. Connell. “They developed friendships with each other and met women working in computer science from Google, NYU and Princeton. They had a great day!” More photos on Facebook.
