Cycle Day 2 |
Attention Students: Bookbags will not be permitted Today due to Regents testing. After today, backpacks will be allowed for the remainder of the school year
Monday, June 19th is Juneteenth. But why is Juneteenth a federal and state holiday?
Although President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, it wasn’t until June 19, 1865, that enslaved African Americans in Texas were told that they were free. Juneteenth honors the anniversary of the emancipation of all enslaved African Americans in the United States and is now a federal and state holiday.
Students with medication in the nurse’s office, please make sure to bring your permission letter with you when you are picking up your medication.
