Attention all students: If the temperature is between 21 and 45 degrees you MUST have a minimum of either a sweatshirt or fleece jacket to go outside for recess. If the temperature drops below 21 degrees there will be no outdoor recess. Please remember to bring your jacket to recess if you want to go outside during recess!
The Extended Day Learning Institute (STAR) meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 3:00-4:00 pm in the Library.
It is that time of year again! SOMS is looking for a talented 6th or 7th grade student to design the cover of next year’s Agenda Book! We are inviting students to be creative and illustrate the theme of diversity, inclusivity, and unity. This theme was selected by our Student Council members. All entries need to be submitted to the main office by Friday, January 28. Have a great experience illustrating this theme!
Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it and what better way to start the day than with a sweet treat that also helps others? The NJHS will be selling special large rainbow swirl lollipops with all proceeds going to help the Penguin Plunge as they look to support two local girls facing critical illnesses. Lollipops must be pre-ordered – more information will be shared!
Just a reminder that Q2 ends Friday, January 28th and Q3 begins Monday, January 31st. 7th and 8th Grade Q2 Explores end Friday, January 28th and Q3 Explores begin on Monday, January 31st. Lists for the 7th Grade Q3 Explores will be hanging outside of the Library and Q3 Explores for 8th Grade will be hanging outside of the Guidance office.
