Congratulations to seventh-grader Kate M., South Orangetown Middle School’s New York Jets Upstander of the Week! Her teachers say that Kate goes above and beyond to help others, both in and out of the classroom. She sits with and befriends her fellow students during lunchtime, and regularly raises money for the homeless and the Alzheimer’s Association. Congratulations, Kate, and keep up the great work!
This is the third school year that South Orangetown Middle School has participated in the New York Jets and Stomp Out Bullying’s Upstander of the Week program, which aims to reduce and prevent bullying nationwide. Students recognized receive a t-shirt, two tickets to a Jets home game and a parking pass.
