After winning the seventh-grade and school-wide geography bees, South Orangetown Middle School’s Matthew T. has been invited to compete in the National Geographic New York State Bee on April 6 at the New York State Museum in Albany!
To be eligible for the state Bee, competitors in grades four through eight must have won their school competition and take an online state qualifying test.
One champion from each state will advance to the National Geographic Bee Championship held May 20-23 at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, DC.
