On February 8, eight South Orangetown Middle School students were honored at the Annual Black Achievement Awards Ceremony held at Rockland Community College. This award is given to students in Grades 6 and 8 who have achieved an academic average of 92% or greater, plus outstanding participation and accomplishment in at least two of the following categories: community service, artistic expression, athletic ability and accomplishment, leadership, and personal triumph and success.
