Growth Mindset – What Are Your Goals?

“I have a growth mindset. I am in charge of how smart I am because I can grow my brain like a muscle by learning hard things. I can achieve anything with effort and right strategies. And even if I fail or make a mistake, it is a great thing, because I can learn from them and I get better” ~ Big Life Journal

As you begin a new school year, it is important to take time to reflect on yourself.
What would you like to improve about yourself?
What would you like to get better at?
What would you like to do more consistently?
What are you scared to do?

Think… Reflect… Set a Goal… Make a Plan…

Let’s get to it…

  1. During this school year I thought that I would improve and pay attention in class more. I will do this by not sitting next to my friends and by talking less.

  2. Sometimes, I really, really want to do something, and I start doing it. But after a while, if it gets tiring or boring or hard, I quit. I want to be able to remind myself of a quote in the video that said, “When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.” to help me keep going.

  3. This year I would like to accomplish being better at gymnastics. I will do this by having a growth mindset, and never giving up. One of the quotes in the growth mindset video inspired me to try harder.

  4. This year when I think that i need help I will try to figure things out by myself other than asking for help right away. This has been really hard for me to do for the past few years but this year I really think that i can and will get better at it.

  5. This year I will get better at gymnastics i don’t do gymnastics anymore but I still know how to do it. I will get better at this by having my sister to be my private tutor.
