Since the Aztecs first discover chicle and the caveman first discovered fire, humans have continually looked for ways to alter and improve and enhance their lives. Some inventions and discoveries have been so amazing that they have affected all of our lives to this day. Some inventions and discoveries were useful for only a short period of time, while others started out simple and have continued to evolve. Over time we have come to realize that some of these inventions and discoveries are better than others.

The following tasks will introduce you to your classmates as together you explore and demonstrate your knowledge of inventions and discoveries…..

Task 1
Research and define the difference between an invention and a discovery. Create a list of what you feel are the 10 greatest inventions and discoveries of ALL TIME.
Here are a few reliable resources to get you started:

 

Remember when searching for information, especially on the internet, to use RADCAB. Only use websites that offer relevant, accurate, detailed, current and information free of bias.

Task 2: Working with a partner, together you will create a list of what you think are the top ten inventions and discoveries. You MUST agree. This list will be informally presented to the class.

Task 3: As a whole class, we will AGREE and create a top ten list based on partner work and presentation.

Task 4: Once the class has AGREED on the top ten, you and a partner will be assigned one of the top ten inventions and discoveries from the list. You will create a PowerPoint to showcase your findings. Please make sure to save your PowerPoint Presenation to the shared folder titled, "Mr. Calone". 
Both partners MUST research and present the assigned topic.
