After our visit from the local fire departments, we sat down and talked about what we learned.  Here is what the children said…

"Today the fire fighters came to our school to teach us fire safety.

We learned that if there is a fire we should go outside.  Don't hide and don't be scared of the fire fighters.  Scream for help loud and make noise so they can find you.  Don't go back in for your toys or pets.

Check your smoke alarm and do NOT play with matches!"
