Courage!

Courage means doing the right thing, even if it is difficult. It means facing your fears with confidence – being brave. We have courage when we admit our mistakes and learn from them. We are brave when we tell the truth, regardless of the consequences. We are courageous when we are willing to try new things, even though we may fail. Bravely dealing with our daily challenges – that takes courage.

In the story, The Terrible Plop, we meet a little rabbit who has courage and learns that some things in life are not as scary as they seem!

The word of the month is OPTIMISM!

Dr. Katherine A. Larson tells us that optimism is a mindset. It is a way of thinking. It is a habit or style of looking at challenges in ways that increase one’s own hope and persistence. Optimism is confidence that one can take on challenges. The core of optimism is to see the reality of a situation and focus on things you can do to make it better. Optimism can be taught and nurtured in our children!
