Over the years, we have been lucky to partner with the Vetiquette Program spearheaded by Mrs. Maureen Kelly. This program helped us celebrate Patriotism at our May Assembly. Mrs. Kelly would organized Gold Star Families to come and speak, and students would commemorate soldiers who lost their lives in war with quilts. Our hallways truly came alive with Patriotism. This month’s challenge is simply three words – Remember and Honor. Send Mrs. McBride a photo of yourself showing Patriotism. Dress up in red, white and blue, stand next to a flag, and/or visit a memorial in the county and send me your photo. I will put together a video that Mrs. Kelly can share with the Gold Star Families. i found the memorial it is a memorial dedicated to the XXXXX which was from 1950-1953. All the soldiers were life like and wearing ponchos. Another manorial I saw was the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. This is a v shaped memorial with 58,245 names of soldiers on it. This is very sad.
