We have been working on taking different viewpoints in Tiger Rising. Today, we applied the work we have been doing to our independent reading books. Will is reading Horrible Harry and the Green Slime. Will created a debate topic from his reading. Will was able to support his claim using reasons and evidence from the book. Go WILL!!
Slime should be banned from all schools!

I agree because,
Slime gets distracted and if one person brings it in everyone starts getting pieces of it and it gets everywhere.
Another reason why is because someone might be playing with it but not listening to what the teacher or kid has to say so when you go do the work you don’t know what to do
I agree that slime should be banned because it gets everywhere and it is a distraction to other students.I can support this by using evidence from my own life.For example usually when someone brings slime onto the bus,they give the slime to another person and the other person gets it all over the seats and the window and their clothes.
Like Ava said it is like a chain reaction once one person brings it every body will bring it.I agree with will because one reason is when people play with it they are to distracted when they play with it they don’t look or pay attention to the teacher.And when you play with slime it sometimes makes noise and distractes other people from there school work.And that is why I agree with will.

first of all ew slime is my enemy it is desgusting because it is messy,sticky and just gross . i hate talking about slime.
I think slime should be bad because once my sister got slime on my glove and ruined it so I had to cut it. My second reason is it is so messy and gets everywhere.

I agree that slime should be banned in school because it is way too messy.It will stick to your pants, and your shirt and never get off.To add,slime is is harmful if you make it with thing like borax, tide,and other things filled with chemicals that can make you and your classmates sick.So I would leave my slime at home.
