Throughout the story, Sistine repeatedly says her dad is coming to get her. Why do you think the author keeps repeating this?

I think that Sistines dad is not going to come get her. I think that Sistine keeps saying that because she is always angry and she keeps using it as an excuse when she has tempore tantrums. I think she knows that he might not come.
I think that sistenes dad is not coming to get her maybe it is just her mom saying that but he is not coming to get her.
I don’t think that the dad will come and get Sistine. I think this because maybe Sistine is just saying that to act like she has a mom and a dad.What if her dad died.
I don’t think that Sistine’s dad is coming to get her because her dad did not say that he is really coming to get her Sistine thinks her dad is coming to get her.
Sistine keeps repeating ” my dad will come and pick me up” because she probably does not like her mom and maybe her and her dad have a really strong bond so they get along better than her and her mom.
I think Sistines Dad will not come because I think she is just doing it because she got very angry and does not like her Mom , maybe she also said that because she did not want to hangout with Rob anymore.
I think the author keeps on repeating this is because Rob does not want to let Sistine go. Further more I think Rob does not believe her that her dad will come because he thinks her dad wont come just like he thinks the tiger wont survive in the woods.
I think Sistine’s father is not going to get her. I think Sistine is just keep saying that to prove a point when she is angry. I also think Sistine knows her father is not coming, she just doesn’t want to admit it.
I agree with Emma that Sistine’s dad won’t come and get her because he is dead.
Further more I am thinking that Sistine’s dad is dead because it seems that she keeps on saying “My dad (WILL) come and get me!” I predict she is saying this because she still has a deep dark hole inside her that her dad is dead. I think that Sistine cant help thinking about her dad so she imagines that he is still alive.
