Headline Poem
A headline poem is when you take phrases and words cut out of magazines and newspapers, and put them together to create a feeling, emotion, idea, or statement. All of you will create a Headline Poem. In preparation of this, you need to start cutting out words and phrases from magazines, pamphlets, or newspapers, and putting them into an envelope. You will use this collection of words to complete your poem. It is important that you come to class prepared with your words. You will have an easier time putting together a poem if you have more resources. This assignment is due Thursday 4/10/14.
Steps for Success:
1. Write poem on our Google doc
2. Create headline poem using your cut out words/letters
3. Answer reflective questions on our Google doc
4. Prepare for presentation on Thursday

1. Open the link above
2. Go to file – Make a copy
3. Rename the document with your full name and the title of the assignment
4. Share the document with dcastellano@socsd.org using the blue share button in the upper right hand corner
