*One way to check for accuracy is to cross-check your source.  This means you need to locate another source and see if the information is the same both places.

*Another way to check for accuracy is to check to see if a source states where the author or sponsoring organization found the photos or information used.

* It is helpful to know a little bit about your topic before you research.  This background knowledge will make it easier to spot inaccuracies.

Evaluating Sources

STEP 1: RADCAD is a way to evaluate sources. It was designed by a teacher named  Karen Christensson in 2002. This evaluation tool is used throughout our school!
