Here I am next to the Little Red Lighthouse at the Botanical Gardens- one of my favorite places to go!
I have been teaching in South Orangetown since 2000. I have been a kindergarten teacher and a first grade teacher. I have three children, Carly, Nathan and Caroline and two dogs, Leia and Tallulah. I have LOTS of stories about them that I like to share with my students! We live in Valley Cottage. I love to sit out on my deck with a cup of coffee and read. I have many favorite authors, like Mo Willems. We love to read funny stories together in my family. My favorite book is A Wrinkle in Time, but I also loved reading Nancy Drew books when I was in elementary school. I enjoy hiking and spending time outside. I try to go for a run every day. I love music and singing. I know how to play the piano, but I haven’t played in a long time. I am learning how to play the guitar, now that I now have both a piano AND a guitar, so I can practice playing them both.

Hello Ms. Widmayer, I don’t think you remember me but I was in your class year 2013. I had you and Ms. Ranzo. I remember those memories so much, and now I am in middle school! I hope your students this year have a lot of fun!
