Reading is Thinking!
Today we discussed various reading strategies we use during independent reading. On the blog, post a reading strategy you used tonight after you have read.
Exact or Estimate?
1. Write one of your own estimate/exact problems like the ones on the worksheet from homework. Try to use true facts about yourself or your friends in the examples.
2. Look at the problems the classmate before you wrote. Tell whether each number is an estimate or exact. If it's an estimate, tell what the key word is.
Numbers, Numbers!
Today we talked about comparing numbers. We discussed the terms greater than, less than, and eqaul to. We also reviewed the symbols we use when compring numbers (<, >, =).
1. Write a problem of your own and share it on the blog.
2. Look at the problem the classmate before you wrote and solve it by replying to their post.
Where in the World?
Today in Social Studies we named the seven Continents and the five Oceans. Please pick a continent that you would like to visit and tell us why. If there is a specific country you would like to travel to, you can tell us about that as well. Remember the continents are: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Antarctica.
