May’s Superpower is Patriotism!

“If we love our country, we should also love our countrymen.”
~ Ronald Reagan

What does it mean to show Patriotism?

  1. Patriotism is the devotion to one’s country.
  2. Patriotism is the love, support, and defense of one’s country.
  3. Patriotism is the willingness to help one’s country.

Vetiquette is a character education program that teaches children the importance of showing gratitude for our veterans and particularly for gold star families (families that have lost an immediate family member in service to our country).

Cottage Lane continues to host a Vetiquette service project to honor another 28 fallen service members. Each class received (1) the biography of a different service member who died and (2) materials to create a tribute quilt which will be gifted to the service member’s family. Many thanks to our Cottage Lane staff, teachers and students for making this happen.

Welcome Gold Star Families!

When you are going about your day in school and making decisions in the playground, or in how you treat one another, think about these soldiers , how much they sacrificed for all of us, (and their character traits) and….

MAKE CHOICES THAT WOULD MAKE THEM PROUD OF YOU!!!!

We do…We do…

Thank you!
