Interview your parents.  Find out their favorite toy they played with when they were younger.  Is still around today? Ask them why they loved playing with this toy so much.

Mrs. Beasley was Mrs. McBride’s favorite toy when she was younger.  When you pulled a string she spoke.  This was consider very high-tech back in the day!  Mrs. Beasley  was also featured on a TV show, Family Affair.  She felt special knowing she had the same doll as one of the characters on the show. You can no longer purchase Mrs. Beasley in stores, but you can find collectibles being sold on eBay. There is no need for Mrs. McBride to purchase one.  She still has hers!

Interview your parents. Research information about this toy. Post a comment with the information. Have fun!
