Today we learned about sublimation by experimenting with dry ice. Sublimation is the process where a solid converts into a gas without becoming a liquid first. We compared an ice cube to a piece of dry ice and discovered by the end of the lesson that the ice cube had changed into a liquid (water) and the dry ice had changed into a gas (carbon dioxide).
We had a lot of fun predicting and observing through our experiments.
