Model with trabajar:

I work (present tense)– yo trabajo

I worked (preterite tense) yo trabajé

I was working (Progressive) Estaba trabajando OR Trabajaba (Imperfect)

I have worked (Present Perfect) – He trabajado

I am going to work (Simple future) Voy a trabajar

I would work (Conditional) Trabajaría

I want (that) you to work. (Present Subjunctive) Quiero que trabajes.

I wanted (that) you work. (Imperfect Subjunctive) Quería que trabajaras.

I hope (that) you worked. (Present Perfect Subjunctive) Espero que hayas trabajado.

If I worked, I would earn money. (Si clauses) Si trabajara, ganaría dinero.

Now you try with the verb ayudar

She helps

She helped

She was helping

She has helped

She is going to help

SHe would help

I want that she helps

I wanted that she helps (I wanted her to help)
I hope that she helped

If she helped, she would earn money.

B. Watch and listen to my video. Once you did this once watch again and write down all of the examples of my usage with “haber”. There are 20 plus examples. You are listening for “He/ha …..ado/ido/MRCHEVVPAD. Write down at least 20.

Hello students,

Very much hoping this e-mail finds all of you healthy and well and that many of you took advantage of my enrichment activities that I was posting onto my web-site for the greater part of the last two weeks. I have missed  you so much and can’t wait to reconnect again on Tuesday, March 31st,  via ZOOM. It will certainly be a different experience and for many of us, there will be somewhat of a  learning curve involved.  I am hopeful, however, that if I (someone who has always been tech challenged as you very well know) can learn how to set up ZOOM meetings and create YouTube videos, you will be able to do so, as well!  🙂

Although our classes don’t officially begin until Wednesday, I would like you all to log into Zoom on Tuesday during the below listed times, so that we can iron out my expectations and discuss how we will proceed.

Mas noticias positivas;)) Por fa-escuchenlo varias veces y escriban los 7 puntos positivos que ha mencionado. Les invito a traducir todo el vocabulario desconocido tambien. Y para los estudiantes que tienen muchisimo entusiasmo, les invito a transcribir todo lo que ha dicho la mujer.

Hi everyone! So sorry that I won’t be seeing you for a while. 🙁

We have been given a directive from the State, that there are no official requirements for students to complete work until March 30th or March 31st. So…no class/homework until then.  However, if you would like to do enrichment activities and keep up with Spanish here are some suggestions:

1. Watch movies in Spanish or with Spanish subtitles
2. Watch Univision.com
3. Read BBCMundo.com every day for a few minutes. 4.Start Duolingo;)

If you have any questions at all, or would like me to forward you more structured activities for enrichment, please contact me at carietta@socsd.org. I will be checking my e-mail daily.

Most importantly, stay well,  try to practice social distancing and…we will all get through this. 👍
