Our class is off to a great start in this area. All of our Marshmallow Challenge groups worked well together. When groups encountered difficulties they found ways to make compromises or at least move forward and not become stuck. Also, when we reflected on how well our groups worked together, students were honest about their personal involvement, and they identified ways to improve their own actions in group activities. Now, let’s see if students can follow through with their verbal ideas.
I think students should try to pay more attention to the lessons and try to participate as much as they can to become smarter so they can be more successful in life.
I think students can have a more effective learning if everyone listened to what was asked to do and made it their goal to focus on learning. It would help if everyone tried their best to do something and they would soonley achieve it.
Good point, Catherine. Individuals can have a difficult time listening and speaking up. Speaking up at an appropriate time and in an appropriate way can lead to a more effective learning environment than having people speak up whenever they have the urge. Forming ideas and questioning on one’s own is always welcome in an open learning environment.
When one teaches something, one learns to understand that concept at a new level. Thus, the learner can learn from the student who is teaching, and the student who is teaching can learn by finding a clear way to express the concept.
We can focus on learning more if we don’t talk while you are teaching and pay attention in class.this will help make are learning effective in a good way.
Ahhh…this sounds wonderful, Emma. If we extend this to include not talking when one of you is talking, I think the learning environment would be even more respectful and effective.
I agree with Ailish an Vivian. I think that if everyone put there best effort and pried in all of there work they can achieve more goals. I also think if the whole class cooperates and be more of a team it would make a much more effective class
I think that if we all stay focused on our goals and treat each other how we would like too be treated, the class room will be a very focused environment. (Minus the drums)
I think if they focus and work hard they can achieve more.
I think so to Hawken! If people work harder they can totally achieve more.
Students can work well at a group or team in school to make the classroom more effective.
I think so too Aillish. Students should know how to work in a team and never give up.
thats what i was going to say

Yes if everyone participates and pays attention everyone will get more learning done
You’re absolutely right!
I agree Sean M. because if students pay more attention they can complete more work in class and have a nice life in the future.
I agree with you Hawken, things turn out better when people work together
Yeah I agree too! It makes it better t work as a team

Vivian I agree with you because if everyone listened it would be so much better. They will achieve sonnet or later if they listen.
I think students should speak up if they have an idea or question, so either learn more or you may end up teaching someone else.
That would be good to express different ideas

I think when students cooperate the class can run more smoothly and have a focus on the task being given and accomplish more.
I agree because if we accomplish more we will go throughout the day quickly.
Just like to day we cooperate when doing the marsh mallo
I think students should help one another if they are struggling. It will help them understand the information the teacher is presenting.
I think thats a great idea!
Yeah that would be great to help others
Wow! Thats such a good idea! 😉

If EVERY student particepates they will be successful.
It would be a friendly classroom envirement
I so agree with that, because if a kid never raises his/her hand he/she will never learn
I agree because if every one participates they can learn more
Hmmm…who is this anonymous? We need to uncover this mystery to give this student credit for participating.

I agree because when you work together you feel more confident
I think if the students and the teacher get along and cooperate and take turns talking then I think that will create a effective classroom
if students dont interupt while the teacher is talking( which i have a habit of doing.trying to stop.) it may be easyer to hear the teacher
I agree james
Very true, u agree. (And I don’t notice it;)
You’re off to a great start, James. Let’s see if you can keep it up!

Funny how you mentioned the drums.
The drums are a definite distraction. 🙂
I think that avoiding someone
distracting will help you listen to
direction better.
This is an excellent idea, Alex.
Students can listen to the teacher and respect the teacher. If they pay attention more they can achieve more!
