South Orangetown Central School District

Congratulations to Tappan Zee High School seniors Diego Gonzalez-Diuk, Cole Massaro, Chris Vanderhoef and Rob Vanderhoef, who have been named College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program winners!

“Diego, Cole, Chris and Rob have each made a great impact on our school community–both in our classrooms and through many extracurriculars,” said Principal Rudy Arietta. “This recognition is a product of the hard work they’ve put in over the past four years and we are very proud of them.”

The four seniors were identified by the College Board for this honor based on their academic achievement and outstanding performance on PSAT/NMSQT or AP Exams. To be eligible for this recognition, students have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and score in the top 10 percent of Fall 2021 PSAT/NMSQT test takers within the recognition program in New York State or if they score a 3 or higher on two or more distinct AP Exams

Those invited to apply for recognition by the College Board work with their school counselor during the spring of their junior year to submit application materials. Winners are announced in early fall of their senior year.
