Early this morning, 43 Studio Art students exhibited their work for families and faculty at South Orangetown Middle School.
The event marked the return of an annual tradition highlighting the work of artists who take Studio Art, an accelerated course taught by Tatiana DiPierno and Allison Meyers. Eighth-graders who successfully complete this high school level foundation course earn one full credit toward their New York State graduation requirements and are eligible to register for advanced art electives at Tappan Zee High School.
“We’ve been missing this! It’s wonderful to be back in this in-person format to recognize and celebrate our talented students,” Meyers said.
