In easy pose with the Hands-to-Heart, take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale to chant the sound of Om. Repeat this 2 more times. Stand to flow with โHello Sun! Hello Earth! Hello Rain! Hello Wind! Hello Ocean! Hello Wind! Hello Rain! Hello Earth! Hello Sun!โ In easy pose with the Hands-to-Heart, Namaste.
Last week, the Earth Kids started creating posters for our new cafeteria recycling program, “Grab It, Dump It, Stack It, Pour It, Recycle It! GO! This key phrase will remind students to grab their drink, dump their tray, stack their tray, pour the liquid from their drink into the colandar/bucket and recycle the container!
Like the good habits our students have for reading and writing, they will also develop good recycling habits!ย Watch the video below and sing along as kindergarten teacher, Christina Mae Rispoli recites our recycling ditty!
We hadย a busy week reaching out and sharing with all the classes at Wlliam O. Schaefer! Please remind your friends and family to recycle when they can and to consider packing a waste-free lunch.
What is a Waste-Free Lunch? It’s REUSABLE!
- sandwiches and other main dishes, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and treats in a reusable lunch container
- cloth napkins
- stainless-steel forks and spoons
- reusable drink containers
- reusable lunchboxes
With this type of lunch, lunch food items can be bought in larger quantities. The packaging can be left at home for reuse or recycling. Waste-free lunches are not only a wise environmental choice, but they are less expensive as well! Please consider packing your child a waste-free lunch!
How many bags of garbage do you think we can stop from going to the landfill if every parent, student and teacher did their part?
