Please note, Fidget Spinners should NOT be brought to school.  A fidget is a tool to help a student focus—not a toy. Fidgets are meant as one tool or strategy, often among many, to support students, not distract them.  Teachers and staff at William O. Schaefer School have a long standing practice of accommodating a variety of student needs using fidget tools to aide some students in self-regulating their behaviors (ex. focus, attention, calming, active listening, and other mental energy controls).  As such, students will continue to have access to such tools in their classrooms and are reminded to leave Fidget Spinners at home.
