LEO Club: The LEO Club is partnering with the Blauvelt Lions in the first Annual “Journey for Sight 5K Run and Walk”. This race is in support of the following charities: Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Visions Center on Blindness (VCB) and Alliance Vision Institute (AVI). - GSTA – there will be a meeting Tuesday, June 6, 3:05-3:35PM Room 411- Let’s Celebrate Pride Month Together!
- The Multicultural Club will meet Tuesday, June 6 after school in room 324 to nominate officers and celebrate the end of the year. Once nominated Tuesday, final voting will happen online later in the week.
- SHS Officers – meeting Tuesday, June 6 at 3:05 pm in room C-6.
- Tri-M Music Honor Society – will be holding officer elections on Tuesday, June 6. Check your email to see the members who are running for each office. See Dr. Wagoner on Tuesday between 8 am – 2:15 pm to cast your ballot.
- Arts and Crafts and Comic Club – will be meeting after school in room 712 for our final meeting of the year on Wednesday, June 7. Sign up to bring a snack to share on google classroom.
- French Honor Society – there will be a meeting Wednesday, June 7 at 3:05. All members and officers must attend to conduct new officer elections for the 2023-2024 school year.If you are interested in running and currently take French, please make sure to attend this meeting. You must be taking French for the 2023-2024 school year in order to run.
- SHS – meeting, Wednesday, June 7 at 3:05 pm in room C-6. FINAL DAY TO TURN IN SERVICE HOURS
- Ping Pong Club – will have its year end meeting on Wednesday, June 7. All members should attend. Elections for next years officers will take place
- Chess Club – The FINAL meeting of the CHESS CLUB for the year will be held on Thursday, June 8 after school in the library. All students are invited, from ROOKies to Grand Masters. Never played? We will teach you! “CHECK” us out and become a PAWN star!
- Spanish Club Meeting– meeting Thursday, June 8 at 3:05 pm in room C-7.
- Yearbook Ordering: Yearbooks can now only be purchased cash or check made payable to Tappan Zee High School for $120 and brought to Ms. LaBrake in room 118. We only have 100 books left, so if you would like one, pre-order now before we sell out. Books should be delivered and handed out the beginning of June.
- VHS – Interested in Screenwriting? Biotechnology? Pre-veterinary Medicine? Perhaps Mythology or Number Theory? Well then Virtual High School is for you! There are many exciting courses being offered on-line for the upcoming Fall Semester. If you’re interested in taking Virtual High School classes in the fall, please read through the following information and fill out the application. Any questions please contact Mrs. Jacobs (ljacobs@socsd.org) . Applications are being accepted now. Registration began May 4. First come first serve.
- Attendance/ Inquiries– Please use our attendance email address,tzhsattendance@socsd.org, when contacting the school for attendance related matters, or call Ms. Kropp (845) 680-1652. Reminder: when a student is out sick, you should be emailing the attendance office otherwise it is an unexcused absence. Doctors notes should be submitted.

- Working Papers – Download the Application for Employment Certificate – AT-17 (working papers application) https://www.p12.nysed.gov/sss/documents/AT17-FillableMay21.pdf. Hard Copy in Main Office.
- Step 1: Complete the Application for Employment Certificate.
- Step 2: A parent or guardian must sign Part I of the application. Working papers cannot be issued without this signature.
- Step 3: A physician must sign the Physical Fitness Certification form OR you must have a physical, not more than a year old.
- Step 4: Proof of identity if you are not a student of TZHS – a COPY of Driver’s License, Passport, OR Birth Certificate.
- Step 5: Mail your completed application and a copy of one form of identification (birth certificate, passport, driver’s license or permit) to: Tappan Zee H.S. Att: Working Papers, 15 Dutch Hill Rd., Orangeburg, NY 10962. Or bring in to Main office. Paperwork can also be emailed to mshanley@socsd.org
