Seniors and Senior Parents: Now is the time to pay attention to applying for financial aid. In addition to filing the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), private colleges require the CSS/Financial Aid Profile which is available at www.collegeboard.com. Copies of Funding Education Beyond High School -The Guide to Federal Student Aid, a helpful resource, are available in the Counseling Department.
Although our school counselors do not specialize in the financial aid process, they are able to direct students and their parents to an expert source, if needed. Those who wait until the last minute to apply for financial aid place themselves at a great disadvantage. Both the FAFSA and the CSS Profile can be done now using last year’s tax forms. They may be updated and changed when you get the forms for this year. Please contact your school counselor if you have any questions.
