Tappan Zee High School

Congratulations to Tappan Zee High School’s RCC Black Achievement Award recipients Justin Lee, Isaiah Olds-Campanile, Kennedy Outlaw, Angelina Picott, Keiana Royster, Lola Wright and Marley Wright!

Students were honored in a ceremony at Rockland Community College last week which celebrated the academic and personal accomplishments of Rockland County students from the Black/African Diaspora. Kennedy also received one of the two new Dr. Arlene Clinkscale Awards for earning the highest GPA among all the County’s awardees.

“These awards recognize all the contributions these students have made to our school in the classroom, on sports teams, through extracurriculars and in the community,” said Principal Rudy Arietta. “We’re proud of all of their accomplishments.”

The RCC Black Achievement Awards are presented each year to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 who have achieved an academic average of 90% or greater and demonstrated outstanding participation and accomplishments in at least two of the following categories: community service, artistic expression, athletics, leadership, and personal triumph and success.
