Two hundred community members enjoyed a delicious meal, beautiful music and the company of friends at the Tappan Zee High School’s Annual Senior Citizens Valentine’s Day Dinner on February 7. The popular event always draws a crowd and is hosted by the Interact Club to promote service and intergenerational engagement.

“We partnered with the Tappan Homemakers and the Piermont, Blauvelt and Orangeburg seniors clubs to get the word out. Our students do an excellent job securing donations, setting up the space and creating a fun atmosphere,” noted Interact Club advisor Jillian Richards.

Guests were treated to a performance by the TZHS Quartet Club, conducted by Orchestra Director Jonathan Rossi, and had a chance to step into the valentine-themed “photo booth” to capture the memory of the festive evening.

“We love to see the club and our seniors come together…it’s a special night,” said Club Secretary Rachel Z., who expressed gratitude to the many local businesses that donated to the event.
