Seventh grade students each created a Water Park by placing required attractions at locations of their choosing on a coordinate plane. Ordered pairs for the attraction entrances are recorded and used to find several measurements through use of coordinate geometry. Students learned and used the formulas for slope, midpoint and distance. The seventh grade students are combining prior math skills with current work completed in this year’s math classes, as well as using advanced coordinate geometry from the tenth grade curriculum.
