SOMS 7th grade students Eoigan Noonan, Danny Preti, Deirdre Sullivan, Toby Stone, Gabbi Leone, Derek Peltz, Jordyn Levine, and Frank Covino, worked during this school year to raise over $1,000 for the American Heart Association of the Hudson Valley. They held two fundraisers for the cause. They held a Basketball Knockout Tournament and a school-wide Heart Health Awareness Day. The fundraisers could not have been pulled off without the help of the middle school principal Mrs. Tesik, the Italian Club, and the middle school’s Challenge Lab. The students presented the check to Amy Irwin, Youth Market Director, and Ramona Englebrecht, Youth Market Vice President of the American Heart Association.
