When the entire 6th grade of South Orangetown Middle School arrived at the American Museum of Natural History, they were ready to explore and seek out some of the exhibits they had recently seen in the film, A Night at the Museum.  For some it was their first time venturing around the dinosaurs and planetarium, for all it was a trip that inspired deep thinking questions, revelations, and awe.    Students, teachers and parent chaperones journeyed around the museum with maps in hand exploring such exhibits as the Hall of Mammals, The Rose Center, and the coveted Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda which houses  a Barosaurus rearing up to protect its young from an attacking Allosaurus.  The gasps and excitement in the students’ voices made it clear that this was a trip well worth taking..
