On February 3, 2016, seven of our SOMS students were honored at the Annual Black Achievement Awards held at Rockland Community College.  This award is given to students in Grades 6 and 8 who have achieved an academic average of 92% or greater, plus outstanding participation and accomplishment in at least two of the following categories:  Community Service, Artistic Expression, Athletic Ability and Accomplishment, Leadership, and Personal Triumph and Success. Our 6th graders who received this award were Lance Leys and Marley Wright.  Our 8th graders were Justin Lee, Isaiah Olds-Campanile, Kennedy Outlaw, Angelina Picott and Lola Wright. Congratulations to all of our award recipients!!!
