ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SOMS STUDENTS
SOMS is looking for a talented student to design the cover of next year’s Agenda Book! Submissions are due to the main office by Friday. Please see the SOMS Announcements page for additional information.
Attention all students: SADD club is sponsoring a day called Kindness Matters on Friday. SADD Club will be handing out red bracelets during homeroom that say KINDNESS MATTERS on them. Also, please wear red to support us and show that Kindness Matters.
The next SOMS PTA meeting date has been changed. The new date is TONIGHT at 7:30 pm in the SOMS library. This replaces the December 21st meeting. The agenda includes a conversation with parents of incoming 5th graders.
SADD club is sponsoring TOYS FOR TOTS & TEENS. Please donate new, unwrapped toys and games to help make a difference in the lives of needy children of Rockland County. (No guns, bow and arrows or stuffed animals.)
Collection ends next Monday. Drop off donations in the box in the main lobby.
The National Junior Honor Society is hosting Spirit Week all week. Students in all grades are invited to participate. In order to participate, students should bring in money for every day they dress up or $5 on the first day of the week. Students have to donate at least $1 a day (or again, $5 for the week) to be able to earn points for their class. The class with the most points at the end of the week will earn a breakfast party. Today is Pajama Day. Tomorrow will be superhero day!
Attention SADD club members: the next meeting is tomorrow after school at TZHS! Meet Mrs. Shaw in the cafeteria immediately after dismissal. Students must have a ride home from the HS at 4:15pm. New members are always welcome!
The next meeting of the art club will be after school tomorrow in room 187….please bring a snack to share for our Holiday Party!
Robotics Club will be meeting after school Wednesday in room 180.
Attention all Italian Club members: Our annual holiday party will be on Wednesday. Please remember to bring a snack/dessert to share. We will be taking our yearbook photo at this meeting. We will be meeting after school in the cafeteria.
The next meeting of the SOMS American Idol Club will be Wednesday in Room 238.
The next Go Green/Scrapbooking Club meeting will be Thursday, Dec 17th after school till 4:00. Please bring your supplies and pictures. New members are always welcome. Please See Ms. Wood in room 323 for a permission slip.
Math Club will be meeting after school next Thursday in room 324.
