ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SOMS STUDENTS
The 2nd Annual SOMS Stem Challenge is scheduled for next Saturday! Registration and more information is now available on the SOMS website.
Next Sunday is Brain Day at Nathan Kline Institute – All are welcome. See attached for more information. Brain Day
7th and 8th grade quarter one explore classes and 8th grade study hall ends today. The new quarter starts Monday. 7th grade class lists are hanging up outside the library and 8th grade class lists are hanging up outside the guidance office.
Boys soccer uniforms should be returned as soon as possible.
The School Store will be open today during all lunch periods.
Any boys interested in the Boys’ Varsity Swim Team, there will be a mandatory meeting today at 3:30 in room 807 at TZHS. The shuttle to the high school will be available.
Elections for Student Council delegates will be held on Tuesday. A completed petition form is required to run. Petition forms are from Mr. Anderson in room 228. Petitions are due back to Mr. Anderson by today.
The next SADD club meeting will be Thursday, November 19th instead of Tuesday, November 10th. Please see Mrs. Shaw if you have any questions. New members are always welcome.
The Actors’ Information Meeting for Once Upon a Mattress will be held in the SOMS Auditorium on November 24th from 4:00 – 5:00. You may not stay after school to wait for the meeting. You may attend an office hour, but must be with an adult until 4 pm. We will discuss the show, the audition process, and our expectations for rehearsals and behavior. Please make every effort to attend this meeting if you are planning on auditioning. **This meeting is NOT for those interested in joining a crew.
