ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SOMS STUDENTS
Reminder: Picture day is today! Order pictures at mylifetouch.com. If ordering online, no need to send cash or order form back to school.
Attention parents and students – All items in the lost and found will be donated this week. Be sure to check the lost and found for any missing items.
ATTENTION 8th GRADE STUDENTS – The Washington Trip fundraising packets are now past due. Please return to Mr. Scherer or Mr. Sullivan ASAP!
Attention 8th Graders – The Sterling Mineral Mine trip permission slip is due back with a check for $32 made out to SOMS by Friday!
The Robotics club will be meeting after school in room 180. Be sure to have a signed permission slip turned in to the main office.
The next GSA meeting will be after school in room 329.
Go Green/Scrapbooking club will meet after school until 4:00 in room 323. Please see Ms. Wood for permission slips. New members are welcome!
The Health and Fitness Club will be having its NEXT meeting after school today in room 238. All grades are welcome! Please bring sneakers, a jacket or sweatshirt because we may go outside, a healthy snack, a positive attitude, and get ready to have some fun!! Permissions slips can be found outside Rooms 179 or 238 or ask Mrs. Muchoe or Mrs. O’Sullivan.
Attention all Italian Club Members: There will be a meeting for all members tomorrow from 2:00-4:00. Come ready to play soccer, bocce and other games. If you are participating in the Pot-luck dinner this Friday, you must attend the meeting. If you cannot, please see Mrs. Avantifiori by tomorrow.
There will be a Modified Ice Hockey meeting tomorrow in room 152 at 3:30. All that are interested in playing Ice Hockey this year must attend.
The next meeting of the art club will be after school tomorrow in room #187. Please bring a snack!
Digital Media will be meeting on Thursday after school in room 180. Please be sure to hand in a permission slip to the main office.
The Book Fair will be next week Monday, Oct. 26th-Friday Oct. 30th in the SOMS Library. This year, there will also be one evening date – from 7-8pm on Tuesday, October 27.
Attention SADD Club – Any student going on the field trip to STAC on November 6th, please see Mrs. Shaw for a permission slip. The next SADD club meeting will be on Tuesday, October 27th.
The Actors’ Information Meeting for Once Upon a Mattress will be held in the SOMS Auditorium on November 24th from 4:00 – 5:00. You may not stay after school to wait for the meeting. You may attend an office hour, but must be with an adult until 4 pm. We will discuss the show, the audition process, and our expectations for rehearsals and behavior. Please make every effort to attend this meeting if you are planning on auditioning. **This meeting is NOT for those interested in joining a crew.
