SOMS Announcements

8th Grade students going on the Mineral Mine trip Monday, November 19, please remember to bring a bagged lunch, no glass bottles, and dress warm.

 CLUBS:

The Robotics Club will meet after school today, Thursday, November 15.  Yearbook picture will be taken at the start of the meeting.

There will be a meeting for the entire Cooking Club on Tuesday, November 20 in the Auditorium after school.  We will be taking our Yearbook Photo and discussing the annual Cookie Swap.  This meeting will end at 4:00 pm.  If you are getting picked up, your ride must be at the back entrance at 4:00 pm.

We will be having our first locker cleanout of the year on Tuesday, November 20 during homeroom. The Custodians will be leaving bags in the hallways for the students to throw out unwanted items from their lockers.  Homeroom teachers and all teachers on Hall Duty during homeroom, please encourage the students to take home any extra clothing and clean out their lockers before the Thanksgiving Recess. Library books may be brought up to the Library to be returned.

The SADD Club meets Tuesday, November 20 from 3:00-4:00 pm in Room 329.

The GSA Club meets Tuesday, November 20 from 3:00-4:00 pm in Room 331.

Art for Public Spaces Club will meet Tuesday, November 27.

Attention Italian Club Members: If you were at the meeting last week and made “Bones of the Dead” cookies, please visit Mrs. Avantifiori’s room and pick up some cookies.

The next Italian Club Meeting will be Thursday, November 29 for any 7^th or 8^th grader interested in going to the Thorpe Senior Center in December.

SPORTS:

There is Open Gym Basketball this week for boys and girls in all grades.  Please check out the schedule posted around the school to see what day your grade plays.  Any questions, please see Mr. Freeley.
