Cycle Day 3 |
SOMS Guidance Alert: The SOMS Guidance Department will be running a Family Changes Group for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. This group is open to any student who has experienced a family change (divorce, separation, remarriage), past or present. If any student could benefit from the group, please contact Mrs. Maiorano or Mrs. Iannucci. The group will run 6-8 weeks.
The Holidays are around the corner and photo memories make wonderful gifts for family and friends. This year, SOMS PTA has partnered with Shutterfly and Tiny Prints. By placing your order through the SOMS PTA storefront, 13% of your purchase will be donated to SOMS PTA. All proceeds will support assemblies, activities and events for SOMS students. SOMS Guidance Alert: The SOMS Guidance Department will be running a bereavement group for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. The purpose of this group will be to help students cope with the loss of a loved one. This group is appropriate for any student who has experienced the loss of a significant person in his/her life; including a parent, grandparent, sibling, friend, or anyone else with whom the student was close. If any student could benefit from this group, please contact Mr. Farrugia or Mrs. Malka. The group will run 6-8 weeks.
As part of our 21 days of kindness the 7th grade is holding a food drive. Please bring in unopened nonperishable items. The winning homeroom will get a hot chocolate party. All food will be donated to the Neighborhood pantry. We will be collecting food until Tuesday, December 19.
The 2018 SOMS Yearbooks are now on sale! Add your own photos and memories by customizing two free pages. Download the free TreeRing app!! The deadline to order and customize your book is May 7, 2018. The price of the yearbook is $28.00 (upgrade to hardcover for an additional cost). You can order online directly through TreeRing. Flyers were already distributed during homeroom.
