Shout-out to sixth-grader Francesca R., our final South Orangetown Middle School New York Jets Upstander of the school year! “Francesca is a hard-working student who never stops seeking to help others. She puts others before herself and is a person one can rely on for assistance,” her teachers report. “Her giving mentality and exceptional character is exactly what an Upstander represents.” Congratulations, Francesca!
This is the third school year that South Orangetown Middle School has participated in the New York Jets and Stomp Out Bullying’s Upstander of the Week Program, which aims to reduce and prevent bullying nationwide. Students recognized receive a t-shirt, two tickets to a Jets home game and a parking pass.
