Students in Kerry Beckmann’s and Jamie Fodor’s Explore classes wrapped up the school year by teaming up to tackle a series of fun STEM challenges! Engineering tasks included constructing paper boats that could stay afloat while holding the most weight, building a paper glider that would fly the farthest distance, creating a container that would protect a fragile pasta shell when dropped and building the tallest freestanding tower out of a single sheet of paper with just six inches of masking tape. Group cooperation was critical to the success of each challenge. All were impressed by the many creative solutions to each challenge!
