South Orangetown Middle School

Nearly 400 pet care items–leashes, collars, toys, treats, paper towels, and more–were collected by the South Orangetown Middle School National Junior Honor Society for the Hi Tor Animal Care Center in memory of Dr. Paul Doctor! Lori Higgins and Kerry Beckmann’s homerooms each earned breakfast parties for collecting the most item points for the pet drive. NJHS President Matthew T. and Historian Ava B., along with advisors Kristine Condon and Jill Rutherford, delivered the donations to Hi Tor this week. “The staff and volunteers welcomed the donations with open arms and even gave us a tour of their facility,” reported Ms. Rutherford. “Thank you to the SOCSD community for all of your donations throughout the year!”
