South Orangetown Middle School

South Orangetown Middle School students raised $1,089 for the National Junior Honor Society’s 6th Annual Pie in the Face event, to benefit Hi-Tor Animal Care Center in memory of Cottage Lane Elementary School teacher Paul Doctor. For Monday’s event, each grade was required to meet a fundraising goal to earn the chance to “pie” some of their favorite teachers–all succeeded.

NJHS officers and advisors Kristine Condon and Jill Rutherford expressed their gratitude to all who contributed to this event, with special thanks to the good-humored SOMS administrators and faculty volunteers: Dr. Chad Corey, Joe Onativia, Mike Ryan, James Amandola, Rob Calone, Debra DiTuri, Amanda Duffy, Andrea Fortuno, Adolfo Godinez, Morgan Harris, Joe Napoli, Steve Rogo, Glenn Spiegelman, Stephanie Stehly, Greg Sullivan and Pamela Tarasco.
