South Orangetown Middle School

South Orangetown Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society chapter is gearing up to host two simultaneous events–the annual Staff vs. Student Volleyball Game and Souper Bowl fundraisers–on Thursday, January 24, beginning at 6:00PM.

  • In the SOMS Gym, SOMS faculty will square off against students in what promises to be a highly competitive volleyball match.
  • In the SOMS Cafeteria, guests will have the opportunity to purchase soups prepared and donated by students clubs and tabletop corn hole sets created by the art and technology departments. Student-made artwork will also be on display and may be purchased by donation.

There will be separate entry donations requested for each event and all proceeds will benefit the NJHS charity of the year, Hi Tor Animal Care Center, in memory of Paul Doctor.

Hi Tor is Rockland County’s only refuge for neglected, abandoned and abused domestic and companion animals. The Pomona-based organization takes in more than 2,000 animals each year. Please come out to support the NJHS’ double-header fundraiser to benefit this worth organization.
