The Hour of Code is here!  The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries.
This is the tenth year that thousands and thousands of kids all around the world are participating.  What a great way to get kids, teachers, and parents to explore and experiment with computer programming!  This year, there are 125,880 Hour of Code events around the world.  Click on the image to see a list of ALL of the Hour of Code events being held.  Can you find our school?

This year’s activity, A.I. for Oceans, is about AI (artificial intelligence). In this activity, you can use training data to teach a bot called “A.I.” to separate fish from trash to clean the ocean. There’s no coding involved, which is the point. Computer science is about much more than coding.

Take time today to choose a game (or games) to explore!  Challenge yourself to work through problems, be creative, think logically, and learn something new about coding!  You can do that here, with the Hour of Code activities. Kindergarten students, remember to sort activities by clicking on the Pre-Reader tab at the top! First and second grade students can choose Pre-Reader or Grades 2-5. Or, try one of the tutorials HERE! Have fun!
