Are you interested in seeing some of the exciting work South Orangetown Students are working on in their classrooms, labs, and studios? Or did you create an experiment, participate in a competition or create a project in science, technology, engineering, art or math this year? Then join your fellow students and show off your hard work to the community in South Orangetown’s Third Annual K-12 SOCSD Maker Faire (STEAM Expo)! Admission is FREE.
At Maker Faire you can:
- Interact with students and their project exhibits
- Create an invention using magnetic circuits (littlebits)
- See our 3D Printers in action
- Explore the stars with our new iPad controlled telescope (weather permitting)
- Have a try building a strong bridge made out of straws
- Take part in technology challenges and demonstrations
For more information about the event, please click here. If you would like to present your project, the submission deadline is March 2nd. Complete this Google form with a parent. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the Maker Faire.

Hope to see you at the Maker Faire!
